Hilton Aleph Rome: Behind the Scenes

Elevating Elegance: Our Journey Creating Content for Hilton’s Aleph Rome

At Ether/Awe, we specialise in transforming luxury hotel experiences into captivating visual stories. This year, we had the pleasure of collaborating with Hilton on a spectacular project at their Aleph Rome property as part of their ‘Style of the Stay’ campaign. As a standout in the Curio Collection, Aleph Rome demanded cinematic excellence, and we were thrilled to deliver. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how we captured the essence of this opulent hotel.

The Project: Hilton Aleph Rome and the ‘Style of the Stay’ Campaign

Hilton’s Aleph Rome, a crown jewel in their Curio Collection, needed content to reflect its luxurious flair and unique charm. Our mission was to produce an elevated 30-second ad, a comprehensive set of stills, and engaging UGC-style videos for the Hilton Aleph Rome Style of the Stay campaign. The goal was to make the hotel’s elegance shine as brightly as the Roman sun.

Pre-Production Insights for Hilton’s Aleph Rome

With only seventeen days from commission to shoot, we had to move quickly. We joined forces with Wow Tapes, an award-winning Rome-based production company, to manage the details of pre-production. It felt like assembling a top-notch team for a high-stakes mission: scouting locations, casting talent, and selecting wardrobes that screamed “luxury”.

We reviewed headshots and self-tapes from fifty actors and models, each hoping to star in our shoot. Our costume designer crafted three elevated looks per talent, ensuring everyone looked as stunning as the hotel itself. A location scout in Rome the week before filming allowed us to finalise our plan.

On-Location Production for Hilton Aleph Rome: Capturing Elegance

The shoot was a whirlwind over two days at the Aleph Rome Hotel. With just ninety minutes allocated to shoot each of the ten environments, we needed to be both swift and efficient. Our streamlined shot list and synchronised teams ensured we captured the hotel’s charm without missing a beat.

Our production design team worked their magic, transforming each space with props and set dressings to enhance the hotel’s luxurious interiors. We used a two-camera setup: the Arri Alexa Mini for smooth, sweeping shots and the Z-Cam E2 for capturing essential details. It was like orchestrating a cinematic symphony, with our steadicam and tripod ensuring every moment was captured in stunning clarity.
